I’m Sara, a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC- Provisional) at Twin Flame Counselling.
I believe that a lot of people don’t always receive the support, care and respect that they need to thrive. It is my commitment to provide inclusive, compassionate, supportive, non-judgmental care for my clients.
I use a person-centered focus where client’s set the pace and direction for their treatment. As a clinical counsellor I am here to support clients in self-discovery, empowerment, and achieving goals that are aligned with their personal values.
I also integrate a trauma-informed approach. This supports all clients in the reality that many of us have experienced at least one traumatic event in our lives. Together we can discover how past trauma can affect the nervous system, our sense of self, and better understand how it can cause difficulty in day to day functionality and emotional regulation. With these discoveries we can learn to establish a feeling of safety in the body and reclaim our personal narratives.
Areas of Focus:
Depression and Anxiety - supporting clients in managing and improving symptoms of depression, learning to manage and lower anxiety in real time using somatic interventions, discovering triggers and learning to predict and manage depressive episodes.
ADHD - helping clients better understand their diagnosis and develop individually tailored strategies to manage symptoms and modify behaviours that accommodate the client’s needs and goals. Creating adaptations that work for the client’s specific needs.
DBT - Dialectical Behavioural Therapy is a skill based training that can support clients in learning mindfulness, distress tolerance and emotional regulation skills as well as interpersonal effectiveness.
2SLGBTQQIA+ informed - inclusive approaches that acknowledge the nuances of diversity in the Queer and Gender Diverse community, with a focus on empowerment and self-determination.

Thank you so much for considering Twin Flame Counselling to support your mental health journey. Due to my current caseload, I am not accepting new clients at this time. However, I would be happy to place you on my waitlist and notify you when a spot becomes available.
In the meantime, we have several compassionate and highly skilled therapists within our practice who are accepting new clients. They offer a free consultation to help ensure a strong therapeutic fit and would be honoured to walk alongside you on your healing path.
About Me
I am one of the co-owners of Twin Flame Counselling, which I run alongside my husband. We founded this practice with a shared vision: to create a safe, welcoming, and holistic space where individuals can heal, grow, and feel truly supported. Our mission is twofold—to provide wrap-around care to the people we serve, and to ensure the therapists and employees within our company are equally supported and nurtured in their work.
We believe that in order to care for others, practitioners must also feel cared for. That’s why our practice is rooted in community, connection, and a deep respect for the healing process—for both our clients and our team.
I’ve been providing counselling to individuals and families since 2022, but I’ve been in the helping professions since 2010. Over the years, I’ve supported people facing trauma, grief, addiction, relationship challenges, anxiety, and more. This work is incredibly close to my heart, and my approach is grounded in both professional training and lived experience.
I hold a Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from the First Nations University of Canada. I’ve also completed a wide range of certifications and training, including:
Trauma-informed care and complex trauma recovery
Addictions and harm reduction
Violence risk assessment
Reiki energy healing
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
Additional ongoing professional development focused on mental health, emotional regulation, and culturally responsive practices
I am an approved provider through most insurance companies, and we offer direct billing for client convenience. We also provide flexible rates for those without insurance, because access to mental health support shouldn’t be limited by financial barriers.
My Approach
I work with all clients through a trauma-informed lens. I believe that trauma—whether from childhood, relationships, or systemic experiences—can shape how we move through the world. My goal is to help you rebuild your self-esteem, feel confident, and take empowered steps toward a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling, even after hardship or loss.
I support clients in building strong communication, setting healthy boundaries, and improving their relationships with others and themselves. I bring professional experience in these areas—and also speak from personal truth.
I’ve worked through my own challenges with addiction, codependency, trauma, and the realities of being a single parent. I’ve also experienced the growth that comes with blending a family and nurturing a healthy marriage. These experiences inform how I show up for my clients: with empathy, honesty, and practical strategies that come from both head and heart.
I walk my talk—meaning I actively use the same tools I offer to others. I prioritize my own self-care, mental health, and healing so I can remain grounded, passionate, and present in this work. I truly believe healing isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being real, being seen, and being supported.
Thank you so much for considering Twin Flame Counselling to support your mental health journey. D...
